RVR Service AG was founded in 1999 in Basel, Switzerland. The goal of our sustainable business model, the RVR-CFC Concept, is create bridge between ecology and economy. With each of our customers, we help prevent worldwide deforestation and the loss of biodiversity through continuous preservation of forests and reforestation according to the “Helsinki Forest Criteria (1993)”.
The RVR-CFC “Tree to Tree” Concept with its products “Treenaps” and “Treerolls” is an extension of the international WIPO MADRID trademark RVR-CFC Concept. The difference is in the use of materials (cotton vs tree fibres) but with the same sustainable business model: for 100 washings 1 tree is planted.
Meet Armand Rudolf Von Rohr
Founder of RVR Service AD & Clean Forest Club
Founder and CEO, Armand Rudolf von Rohr has been a successful entrepreneur since his mid-20s in a range of different industries. It is two storms however (one in the Mediterranean sea, the other in Switzerland), that changed his perception on business and nature. He became fascinated with reforestation and the preservation of forests and felt obliged to create a business model that would allow for a circular, less wasteful economy. Combining his experience in corporate hygiene, high level and personal customer service, he founded RVR Service in 1999, washing and distributing towel rolls in combination with other washroom products. For every washing he began to set aside a few cents so that every year, per 100 washings 1 tree could be planted and certified to RVR-clients. 2009 RVR-CFC Concept was eventually internationally trademarked according to WIPO MADRID: The International Trademark System. RVR Service AG and Clean Forest Club are intertwined with the RVR-CFC Concept: RVR as the company and Clean Forest Club initiating reforestations and as a educational tool in all things related to climate change and forestry. “There a lot to do, let’s start planting!”
